You can update product quantity at checkout time if you’ve forgotten to update your inventory after receiving a shipment.
Example: You’ve recently received a shipment of a product, but while checking out a customer, you realize you’ve forgotten to update the product quantity, which is currently zero. The product list shows a warning that the inventory count is zero, but you want to update the inventory and add it to the checkout.
Follow these steps to use this option.

Select a product from the products list that displays the "0 inventory" warning:

When you tap the zero-inventory product, a warning pops up:

Tap Update Quantity.

On the Update Product Quantity screen, enter the purchase date, and quantity to add, then tap Save.
The product list now shows the added quantity and no warnings, so you can select it to add to the checkout.
