You can update product quantity at checkout time if you’ve forgotten to update your inventory after receiving a shipment.
Example: You’ve recently received a shipment of a product but while checking out a customer you realize you’ve forgotten to update the product quantity, which is currently zero. The product list shows a warning that the inventory count is zero, but you want to update the inventory and add it to the checkout.
Follow these steps to use this option.
Zero Inventory Warning - Web version
- Select a product from the products list on the checkout screen that shows the "0 inventory" warning:
- When you select the check box for that product, a warning pops up:
- Select Update Quantity.
- On the Update Product Quantity screen enter the purchase date, quantity to add, and select Save.
The product list now shows the added quantity and no warnings, so you can select it to add to the checkout.
