To send appointment notifications and reminders to clients when appointments are booked, follow these steps:
- Once you access your Settings, select Email & Text Notifications.
- Enable the Appointment Details, Confirmation Requests, and Appointment Reminders notifications. A green color means the notifications have been turned on.
- Once you're finished, select Save.

Customizing Text Messages: We don't have a set date for customizing and sending automated text reminders. We will provide an update when this feature becomes available.
Let's get started!
On the Vagaro Pro App
1. Tap More at the bottom of the screen.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Email & Text Notifications.
4. There are three types of notifications: Appointment details, confirmation requests, and reminders.
Appointment Details— These include details of the appointment once it is booked. Click the toggle to enable.
5. Confirmation Requests— These allow clients to confirm whether or not they will be at the appointment. These are especially helpful in discouraging no-shows. A confirmation notification can be sent as a text and/or email. Tap the toggle switch to enable and enter the number of hours in the second box. We suggest 72 hours or 3 days before the appointment.
Appointment Reminders— These can be sent as a text and/or email. Toggle the switch to enable. Then, enter the number of hours in the second box. We suggest 24 hours before the appointment.
You also can enter a custom message in the email notification. This will be included in your Appointment Reminder.
7. Toggle the Send notification to business and Send notification to service provider options if you want notifications to go to the business as well as the employee providing the service.
8. Tap Save when all changes have been made.
On the Web Version

Is there a reason the special message option is only available for email notifications? Most clients only use text and they need to be informed of a salon's cancellation policy upon booking and also reminded in appointment reminders/confirmation text messages. This is a feature that many other Vagaro users have asked for and needs to be added asap.
